Saturday Lunch with the Twin Towns
Having failed to get the three towns together on
Friday evening due to misinformation and other problems a lunch was held at the
Fire house in Titisee and a coach was provided to take us to the event.
We
were all excited as this was to be our first hot meal in Germany! the timetable
had been so tight to this point that we had just not been able to find hot food.
The meal was soup, followed by lamb and pasta then ice cream.
Mike Ball presented a cut glass bowl to Herr Lindler on behalf of the Leighton Linslade Town Twinning Forum and the whole event was competed with an impromptu performance by the Grand Union Rappers who had incidentally walked nearly 2 Km with all their equipment and costumes only to be passed on the road by our coach!
The rappers certainly caused a stir where ever they went and their performances in the streets of both Neustadt and Titisee were much appreciated. They also appeared on the official programme of performers at the park and almost brought the marquee down with their success.
