This is what the
weekend was all about in twinning terms, having failed to get bands from all 3
towns together in Leighton-Linslade last year. This year we were able to get the
Brie-Colo-Swing Band from Coulommiers and the Cedars Jazz Band from
Leighton-Linslade to join the JMS Jazz Combo and the JMS Big Band for a concert
that really made an impact on the area. With great support from Bürgermeister
Armin Hinterseh and the tourist information service of the Town an audience of
over 200 turned up for the show.
What a magnificent setting on the lake side with temperatures in the mid 20's
Götz Ertle, known to many of us for the visit to Leighton-Linslade with the JMS Jazz Combo began the concert with the Combo
and was followed by John Wearmouth and the Cedars Jazz Band all the bands performed for about 45 minutes without a break.
