The Sea Spirit
Called from the Lake by the local children the Sea spirit bring hope to all who attend the event. Whilst the character has been around since the formation of the Pirates The face of the Spirit use to be covered in seaweed and other bits and pieces found in the lake but the figure was finally given a mask in 2004 when Erich Holzer from Titisee designed and carved the whole mask from a single piece of wood. The mask was then painted by his wife Verone.
It rises slow and bedraggled stepping from the cool wet Titisee with the people surrounding it all there to welcome. In its hair all kinds of sea creatures and seaweed and it is carrying, as an indication of its power, the three pronged spear.
