After the parade

With the parade being so long many at the beginning had completed the route and been dismissed so they were then able to watch the rest of the parade or retire to one of the food and drink areas to recover. The whole atmosphere of the day was one of enjoyment and having fun.

Considering the numbers of people in the area there was only 1 police car seen and a number of Red Cross vehicles were also in the area.

This was a day to remember and to enjoy there was a great deal of humour and exuberance that was enjoyed by many. Watching guild members making their way back to meeting places with the masks hung over their backs or on top of their heads was good fun also from our perspective on a balcony looking down on the crowds.
