Night party in Elzach
The town of Elzach offers an interesting parade each Fasnet with a night procession which is light only with burning torches, even the street lights are switched off for the parade. The costumes used by many of the guilds are decorated with snail shells. The shells come from the vineyards where the snails are very common.
