Firework Finale
Following much merriment, eating and drinking the finale of the
days events was a firework display set off on a raft in the lake.
The
display
was spectacular and lasted almost 10 minutes. The timing of the display was set
by the sailing of the 4 cruise boats decked out in lights that had been booked
by various groups to view the event from the Lake. The numerous peddelos and
small electric boats that are available to hire were also out on the lake.
Whilst the fireworks were spectacular the sound of the explosions echoing around the hills added to the overall effect.
The party continued all along the lake side with live music and food stalls continuing to do good business until the end which occurred at exactly 1 am. when after lots of warning the event came to a halt and the stalls all closed for business, sound systems were switched off and silence returned to the lakeside. Even the dispersing crowds were quiet no singing or noisy good byes.
