Leighton Linslade has been twinned with Coulommiers in France since 1971 and the triple link, with Titisee-Neustadt in the Black Forest of Germany, has been in place since 1991. There are regular exchanges between the towns including the Tennis clubs, and the Fire brigades. We try to get together at least once a year in one of the Towns. Each Town has a series of events each year that attract possible twinning visits. The French Christmas Market and its International Cheese and Wine Festival, the German Fasnet week and annual Jazz festival and in Leighton we have a Carnival, a Canal Festival and  a Living History day. We also encourage private visits and holidays and are able to assist with planning such events. This site and it's sister site in German are a tribute to the small group of people in each Town who work so hard to make the concept a reality.
