Twinning Weekend
A weekend of celebrations was held in Leighton Linslade from the 13th to the 15th July 2001 to mark the 10th Anniversary of the signing of the twinning agreement with Titisee Neustadt. A part of Councillors from all parties in the Town Council and lead by the Bürgermeister Martin Lindler arrived at Heathrow Airport early on the Friday afternoon and were met by Christine Barrow and Melanie Parr together with Councillor Chris Hinchliff.

The party was accommodated in the Cock Horse in Heath and Reach and after a wash and brush up were taken to the White House to meet with the Twinning party who came over by Coach.
To meet both parties was the Mayor of Leighton Linslade Cllr. Henry Fried and his deputy Cllr. Peter Snelling together with past mayor Cllr. Mark Freeman and past chairman of the Twinning Forum Mike Ball.

A small buffet was arranged to allow our guests to meet their host families and to arrange the programme for the weekend.
