Arrival and first appointment

The party flew into Luton Airport from Basle arriving just after 11am and were met by Mayor Cllr. Russ Goodchild and Chairman of the Twinning Forum Chris Hinchliff. The mayor had arranged for lunch at one of the top restaurants in the area "Paris House" which stands in the grounds of Woburn Abbey the large stately home of the Duke of Bedfordshire.

After drinks in the open air the party had lunch inside. This was from the business menu rather than the very expensive A la carte menu that is available.

The view from the house is over fields where can be seen many of the deer which roam the estate. There are ten different species of deer in the park including Chinese water deer Muntjac and Red deer.
