The Canal side area
It is amongst the trees where we find the stalls of the various rural craft displays and of course the canal with its boat rides and land train ride.

The Grand Union canal was once the main trade route between London and Birmingham built in the 1840's the canal is now a holiday destination and a place where people can fish or cruise. They are now the responsibility of British Waterways who kindly gave permission for the event to use the canal side.
One of the Rural crafts that now provides many household ornaments as well as
providing decorative and working ropes for the growing number of narrow boat
owners is the rope maker.
From the simple lathe type winding machine comes the material to make fenders for the boats and decorative picture frames or bell pulls.
