Visit to Beaudesert Lower School

Part of the reason for the visit, and the inclusion of Mr Jolk in the party was to promote the creation of links between the schools in all 3 twin towns. Mr Jolk has adopted the role of Co-ordinator for all the Titisee Neustadt schools.

The Hansjacobschule in Neustadt has created links with the Beaudesert Lower School and has already sent the school some paintings which were prominently displayed in the main hall of the school.

As you can see the school had made some preparations for the visit and even put on a special assembly which included performances by youngsters performing on Violins and cellos. The year 4 choir performed 2 songs that they are entering for a competition in June. The Head Teacher Mrs P Tiffen presented Mr Hinterseh with a binder of letters that the children had written to be taken back by him and given to Mrs Peters for her children in the Hansjacobschule. 

Bedfordshire has pioneered the creation of dedicated Global Learning Co-ordinators in all its schools and it is with the help of these people that we hope to create more links. Mr Jolk was delighted to learn of the efforts being made and is hoping to duplicate the ideas in Titisee-Neustadt. Apart from the Hansjacobschule children at Beaudesert all also in e-mail contact with children in South Africa, New Zealand and Trinidad!
