L'Accordéon Club de la Brie
Each year the Heath Band and L'Accordéon Club De La Brie have a twinning event usually at Easter. This began some 24 years ago in 1981 and the president of the French band Madam Elise Hochedé is the daughter of the original president. The weekend began very early for the French who arrived in Leighton at 8 am. The party of 35 are all being accommodated in private houses.
A Civic reception was held hosted by the Mayor Cllr. Peter Snelling and there was a small buffet and 2 short speaches of welcome and thanks.
The Press did arrive to take photo's and we are looking forward to the joint concert being given on Saturday.
