Cheese and Wine Festival 2000

Each year Coulommiers holds an international cheese and wine festival in a tented show ground on the edge of town. In the millennium year The mayor visited the event and at the same time planted a tree as a gesture of goodwill following the destruction of so many trees in the area during the Christmas storms.
