My first private visit
I decided that I needed more information for the twinning web site about our French 
Town of Coulommiers so having just a 
few free days I booked myself 2 nights at the Hotel L'Ours in central Coulommiers with a view to spending a full day exploring the town on my own with my cameras. The following pages are the results of this visit.
I flew from Luton to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport in heavy rain landing at Terminal 3
I then walked to Terminal 1 along a covered footpath about 300 m The booking 
office is easy to use and a through ticket 
to Coulommiers was just €15.75. Then down stairs to catch the RER train B to Paris Gare du Nord. Arriving at the underground station in just 30 minutes. With the short walk to Gare De L'est in a fine drizzle taking just 10 minutes. Having got the through ticket all I needed to do was locate the platform for Coulommiers ( platform 12) and get on the train that left very soon after boarding for the 50 minute journey to Coulommiers arriving at the station at just before 5 pm. a short walk up the Avenue Strasbourg and the Rue Bertrand Flornoy brought me to my hotel L'Ours (The Bear) for a welcome rest .
