The Church of St Denis
Set on an Island at the end of the Rue Du Palais de Justice this church dominates the area and is a fine building. Whilst not very old as a building there has been a church of St Denis in Coulommiers since the 12th Century serving not only the Town but many villages that surround it. The Church is open to the public from 8am until 6pm daily and is a very peaceful place to take a break. The twice I visited the visit was enhanced by background church music that added to the ambiance.

The side view of the church was taken from the riverside and shows that not only does the church have a spire but also an octagonal tower at the crossing point of the nave. As can been seen this adds quite a bit of natural light to the church.

Not all the windows are of stained glass but the three picture above show not only the different styles but also the different colours used in the decoration.
