Return to The Gambia November 2007

A lucky break at work gave Chris and I the opportunity to return to The Gambia a lot earlier than we anticipated As a result we were able to see a different season in this wonderful country.

As the trip was a little unprepared we did not have any ideas on what we would do whilst we were there apart from enjoy the wonderful warm weather up to 35 degrees some days. We did however not expect the development that has occurred since April on the Highway. New buildings seem to be going up almost everywhere.

We did managed to arrange 1 day trip over the river to James Island and to follow the Slave trade story. We also visited 3 Nursery Schools in the Brufut area where some local expat's are trying to help improve things.
